I want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

"A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived and became a sinner" (1 Tim 2.9ff).

The way a woman dresses, and learns, tells something about her. If she is one who is concerned about modesty, and if she is one concerned about learning, quietly, from her teachers, then she is the one who possesses the spirit of Christ according to this description given by Paul.

Do you possess that kind of gentle spirit? Are you willing to be "dressed" your life with this visible quality in your attitude and behavior?

She is the kind of woman the Lord seeks, and praises. Blessed is she who finds peace within the walls God constructs through his word.
