"Now then, I will crush you as a cart crushes when
loaded with grain. The swift will not escape, the
strong will not muster their strength, and the
warrior will not save his life. The archer will not
stand his ground, the fleet-footed solider will not
get away, and the horseman will not sage his life.
Even the bravest warriors will flee naked on that
day, declares the Lord" (Amos 2.13-16).
God's discipline is not easy to consider. It is not,
often, a comfortable conversation piece, but it is
something that we need to understand as carefully
as we can. We want this aspect of God to be fully
in place, but not always applied to our life.
Tonight, we are going to talk about discipline, so
Scott and I are hoping that you will join us for this
part of a larger conversation from Hebrews 12.
Bring your Bible, a spirit that seeks to hear from
God, and allow God to make room for his word.
Those who do will be blessed, and we will leave here
this evening built up, encouraged, taught, and
understanding our place in the grander scheme of
God's kingdom.
To God be the glory.
