Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers represented in our audience today. We certainly hope that you have a wonderful day and are able to be surrounded by family. As we gather to worship today, our morning lesson will focus on a mother from the New Testament that everyone should be able to learn from.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, was not perfect by any means and certainly had her moments of struggle, but it is vital to remember the faith and trust she had in God to commit herself to the plans of God. As we study this morning, let us all aim to grow stronger in our faith, stronger in our trust, and stronger in our hope.
This evening, we will examine our attitude concerning worship. Is it something we are apathetic towards? Is it something we are excited to take part in? Have we become callous in our worship? As we honestly study this important topic, I pray that we all are humble enough to truly examine our attitude and make the proper corrections that are needed.
