Are we really any different from anyone else? We certainly have been conditioned to understand that – in the sense of being lost without Christ – no, we aren’t any different from the world. But as followers of Christ and in comparison to the world, we are called to be…..different.
The following two scriptures were recorded at opposite ends of the ministry of Jesus – one at the beginning, and one at the end – but both are written to those who were following Him:
Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
John 13:35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
How will they know that you follow Christ?
The things we do and the way we treat others should be…..different. We’re called to be a shining light and to love others.
Will someone know that you follow Christ without you having to tell them?
Let’s strive to be the kind of “different” that we’re expected to be.
