Rejoicing for Jesus

“A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks, a new and glorious morn.”

The world acknowledges the birth of Jesus Christ around this time every year. While I cannot say that Jesus was undoubtedly born on our December 25th, I will say that it was refreshing this past week to hear, at Disney World of all places, an open acknowledgement of the birth of Christ being the most important moment in the world’s history.

Our challenge during our study this morning is to answer the following question:

Am I rejoicing at every opportunity I have to worship Christ the King?

Our text will be Matthew 2:1-12 and I certainly hope that as we say goodbye to a year that has been difficult for so many that we never forget to rejoice over the fact that our Lord and Savior came to this earth. For indeed, “Long lay the world in sin and error pining, ‘til He appeared and the soul felt it’s worth.”

May we all have an attitude of joy as we worship together!
